Pastelles

Pastelles are the most awaited dish for Christmas. however most people shy away from it because it can be quite time consuming to prepare. 

The wrapping of the pastelle in the fig leaf really enhances the flavour and allows for a better texture. 

Since I have a great love for pastelles, I made a lot of them and froze them around Christmas so that I could have it at a later date without having to go through the hassle of making them over again. They even come out just as good as when I first prepared it.

This recipe included chicken as the meat however I've seen people make fish, turkey, shrimp and soya pastelles and even have gone as far to mix the types of meat in the pastelles.
